Magnificence – Cobra
After being premiered at Swedish House Mafia’s reunion performance, the first of three Magnificence singles are out. This one takes on a much different than their other tunes and honestly sounds more like something Will K or Corey James would make. The drop is very tight, great bass, and unique sound choice and the rest has an infectious driving beat to it.

KOOS – ERUPTION EP
KOOS has a way with Bass House. It’s grimey, it’s underground, it’s dark, but sometimes that’s just what you need in your life. On their own, these tracks don’t have much that makes them stand out as anything other than more KOOS tracks. That’s by no means a bad thing, of course! If you’re looking for this style of music, you now have three fresh new ones to throw into the mix or playlist.

Timmy Trumpet & JETFIRE – Flamenco
The melodies and breaks are fantastic, Timmy Trumpet brings his signature sound on that but then the drop hits and it’s psy-trance. Now it’s not generic, it carries over the melodies and themes from the breaks but it lacks power. It feels more like a soundtrack but the build makes it seem like a mainstage track. That is what holds this track back: it’s unsure of what it is and its place in the mix. I look forward to the remix of this which hopefully bring more structure and purpose to the fantastic source material.

Gustaf Bjornberg and Ragunde are here to bring you a powerful piece of Big Room material. The drop is has some serious bounce and is wonderfully chaotic and the break is gloriously epic. You don’t want to miss this track from these two producers on the up and up. If you’d like to learn more about Gustaf Bjornberg and his music, go check out The QR Network’s interview with him HERE!

MC Fioti & J Balvin, Stefflon Don – Bum Bum Tam Tam (David Guetta Remix)
The original and stems are great, but what David Guetta did to this drop is only going to work at live shows. It combines groove and tribal with a Dada Life pushdown synth which has no melodic or rhythmic qualities whatsoever. It’s just noise. If you want a decent remix of this song, check out O’Neill & Nitrex’s Remix.

Jordy – Be With Me
https://soundcloud.com/jordy-sc/jordy-be-with-me
I’m not usually a fan of any song in a major key, but this one just struck the right chords for me. The drop is just undeniably emotional and unique that I couldn’t help but include this track and give it a decent score.

Smash the House
Quintino – Brasil Connect
How. Just how did this get produced and signed to Smash the House. I get that the label specializes in some classic Big Room but this goes back too far. Ravitez & DJ Afrojack – 2012 is as far back as we need to go with this genre. The vocals and riser are irritating and the bass is just too overpowering. This is such a skid mark on everyone who was involved in the release of this track. Which is a shame because Quintino is capable of some really interesting and unique sounds, I don’t understand why he wanted release this now as a paid track.

Alok & Zeebra & Iro – Ocean
Alok is someone who has consistently surprised me ever since he got his old track Fuego signed by Spinnin’ around a year ago. He’s gone from Brazilian Bass to some truly beautiful tracks and this one follows in that same vein. Much slower than his normal tracks but it really pulls the emotion to the forefront of the piece. It’s relaxing, it’s gorgeous, it’s worth your time and a spot on your playlist

Tony Junior & REGGIO — S4YM
I got something for your mind: this track is ok. I love Reggio’s style in the drop and how he manages to keep things interesting around the “hook” of those two notes which dominate the first part of the drop. The vocal is hypnotic but I’m not the biggest fan of the dischordant melody that surrounded it. I hope these two work together again in the future and improve their collaborative sounds to make a true classic.

Ummet Ozcan – Change my Heart (feat. Laurell)
It’s that time of year for all the summer tracks to come out. This one has some good vocals holding it together and it’s always great to see the range that Ummet has as a producer. I don’t this this will be a classic anytime soon, but it’s a nice track for 2018.

TV Noise – 808
Absolute banger following Martin Garrix & Looper’s “Game Over” from last week TV Noise bring some serious force with “808.” The drop goes hard with TV Noise’s signature bass work and flares. The vocals aren’t anything memorable but they add to the overall dark, awesome energy of the track. You can’t miss this one.

Afrojack feat. Stanai – Bed Of Roses (DISTO Remix)
What starts off as a typical summer Progressive House track takes on a whole new life with the second drop. The first wasn’t anything impressive, but when the second build up comes, you realize this isn’t 128 BPM anymore and the bass just smacks you in the face. For me, it doesn’t really resonate because it seems like a cheap KUURO track. I will give it props for subverting expectations
