Who are you?
My Name is Thomas, I have my own label together with my mate Charly Rabens of UCP Berlin and it’s called In Depth Tunes. I was born in 1977 and raised up in East Berlin and I lived most of the time there. But in 2019 I met a wonderful woman and since them, I’m trying to be the most time by her side in Zürich. People who know me personally appreciate my opinion and knowledge very much, because I am a very inquisitive person who reads a lot and is interested in a lot of topics.
When did you start music production?
At first I started with deejaying in ‘93, it was hard trance, progressive trance and house music that really caught me at the time. 3 years later I switched to East Coast rap music and alongside deejaying I’ve organized my own events with friends.
My first production was rap music in the late 90s. Together with friends we produced some conscious rap tracks. Later in 2010 I formed another rap project called “4Peepz!” and we produced a complete theme album called “4 our Peeps” with all the best influence of true hip hop culture. For this project we produced several videoclips and released the stuff for free… to give back to the culture. Here are some videos for you to watch:

Why are you producing music? And more globally, what does “music” mean to you?
Music is a universal language, everybody can understand it. Music is always a way to interact with others – no matter where you are. That’s something special in our human being and life in this universe. In the Beginning was a Sound, out of that cames the matter and through that the substance of life and entities. Matter emerged from the sound and its vibration, which clearly shows how elementary sounds are in our universe. Everything has a sound. There is also a universal harmony in this context. Which is probably one of the reasons why people love harmonies and sounds so much. There is something magically elementary that is inherent in music. I appreciate this a lot.
Which is your favorite DJ gig that you have performed?
Fusion 2014 for sure! And the first Zug der Liebe 2015 in Berlin.
